About Me

My name is Jeff Adamski and I teach Windsurfing Lessons in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota.  I’ve been windsurfing since 1983, competing since 1987, and teaching since 2001 after being certified by US Sailing to teach Windsurfing.

I am one of the top racers in the Midwest, but I also love to windsurf for fun and relaxation.  It’s great to be able to see new students learn quickly without all the frustration of learning on their own.

If you would like to learn to windsurf, or improve your exising skills and move up to the next level, contact me:

Dear Jeff, I’m a recycled beginner. I took lessons in Milwaukee, WI maybe 30 yrs ago. Now I’ve relocated to nw WI and am looking for a shorter board and smaller sail. My board is 11 1/2 feet. It has the “old school” tie down boom. The mast is so old that the fiberglass is entering the skin on my hands. Can you please give me info on how to connect with people wishing to sell an old system? I’d greatly appreciate it.

      Hannah,
There are plenty of people in the Minneapolis area that are looking to sell used equipment, but there is only a swap meet once a year in early May at “The House” in Little Canada (35E & 694).
I own a lot of boards, that might work for you, but it might be too big a step from what you have now. You could come down to Lake Calhoun some weekend or a windy day. Odds a pretty good that you could find someone looking to sell something so thaey can upgrade.
Send me an email: jeff@wind4life.com, if you want to get a look at what I have for sale.
      Jeff

Live on Forest Lake, just north of White Bear. First I have to find a place to buy a board/sail/gear – I don’t know where to look. Then I need about a week’s worth of lessons. My only water experience is kayaking. The wind is blowing here today and I wish I was on to #3, having fun on the lake. Thanks. Kathy.

      Kathy,
I supply al the equipment for the beginner lesson. Everyone is windsurfing by the end of the first lesson!
After the lesson, I review what equipment would be a good starting for you.
Email me to sign up for the beginner lesson. jeff@wind4life.com

I just e-mailed for a beginner lesson. I am so happy to find this site! I have been sitting at Calhoun with my daughters, who like paddleboarding. It has been torture for me to watch the sailboards, and not be able to join in. I used to teach sailboarding — 30 years ago — and have really been away from it for too long. I have no equipment, and need some recommendations for purchasing.
Thank you, thank you for taking the time to make this available to people.

    Jeff,

Where do you teach the windsurfing lessons? We are on the west side of the metro. Do you travel to any lake? Lake Independence, Lake Sarah, even Lake Minnetonka would work well. Thanks!!

    Jody
